The Faculty of Management from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania) organizes every year in October–November the International Management Conference in partnership with the Romanian Academic Society of Management (RASM). Starting in 2022, the Academy of Romanian Scientists (AOSR) joined our conference as a valuable partner.
The IMC gives participants the opportunity to exchange ideas on the latest business issues and challenges in the field of management at national and international level. At this scientific networking event, researchers and practitioners from universities and industries can debate and join their efforts in finding solutions and answers to the most urgent questions that management is confronted with in the reality of the 21st century.
The 20th edition of the International Management Conference – IMC 2026 aims to enhance collaboration and joint efforts among participants in exploring innovative managerial tools, methods, and solutions for leading in an age of intelligent systems while upholding human values. The conference welcomes contributions addressing how organizations can responsibly design, adopt, and govern intelligent technologies, strengthen resilience and trust, and reimagine management practices that balance performance, ethics, inclusion, and societal well-being in a rapidly changing global environment.
The previous editions of the conference had different themes, such as: New Management for the New Economy, Management Challenges for Sustainable Development, Challenges of Modern Management, Management Perspectives in the Digital Era, Management Strategies for High Performance, Management in the Algorithmic Era: Harmonizing AI Mastery and Human Collaboration, Global Management Reimagined: Solutions for a Geopolitically Complex Future etc.
In previous years, the conference proceedings were available in various formats, including printed books, special journal issues, and CDs, all carrying an ISSN. Starting in 2012, the proceedings also began to be published online. Currently, the volume is published exclusively online and continues to be indexed in RePEc. Between 2012 and 2019, the conference proceedings were indexed in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index – Social Science and Humanities (CPCI-SSH), part of the Web of Science Core Collection. IMC continues to align its editorial practices and content with Web of Science selection criteria by enhancing relevance, originality, and methodological rigor. The conference proceedings will be submitted for indexation in Web of Science.
